Milestones: on the board and in the portal
Tag tasks into phases for yourself, and show a clean timeline to your client.
Milestones: on the board and in the portal
MonoDesk has two places milestones show up, and they do different jobs.
Milestone tags on the board
On a project’s Tasks board, the Milestones control lets you tag tasks into phases: Discovery & Brief, Design Concepts, Build & Content, Launch. Use them to group and filter your own view of the work, and to see at a glance how much of each phase is left.
Tip: your Co-worker can do the sorting; “create four milestones and assign the existing tasks to the right ones” works.
Portal milestones (what your client sees)
The client-facing timeline is set up separately, on the project’s Client Portal tab. Those phases appear on your client’s project page, and their status follows task progress automatically: as you finish the work, the client’s timeline moves without you touching it.
You choose per milestone whether clients see just the phase, or the task names and progress underneath it. Full walkthrough: Share a project through the portal.
