What to quote on site
Diagnostic fee, labour estimate (hours × rate or flat task rate), major parts with markup disclosed if you want transparency, optional "if we find X" note in terms not as surprise invoice lines.
Validity
Material prices move. 14-day validity on plumbing quotes is reasonable. Say quotes assume standard access; blocked lines cost extra.
